synopsis

the special consists of series of vignettes, each 1 starring different member of peanuts gang in various christmastime situations, largely inspired original peanuts comic strips. installments follows:


happy holidays snoopy

snoopy tries lucy ask him join in skating show, s interested in schroeder. later, dresses santa claus work bell-ringer raise money. briefly confronted angry rerun, chastises him failing deliver toys promised him previous christmas. @ 1 point, while dressed santa, plays oh! susanna on accordion, lucy comments isn t christmasy , linus walk by. upon hearing that, switches christmas time here (with woodstock whistling along). attempts make peace ferocious cat lives next door takes ferocious swipe again.

linus tries decide kind of letter should write santa.


the next day @ school, meets girl repeatedly changes name. when linus points out name of day, jezebel, hated old testament figure thrown window death, girl changes name of day susan. linus tries ask address send christmas card, , gives address turns out fake when card returned. when lucy asks linus why s interested in her, replies flatly: fascinates me.


season s greetings sally

sally decides give paper airplanes christmas , writes christmas letter samantha claus (her beard being disguise). after school, furious sally blames charlie brown not telling thinking of santa claus.


not knowing how cut down christmas tree, sally decides go out , fall down tree: @ , hope falls on own. first target turns out in yard of hostile ugly kid, tells can have tree if falls down. in sally describes christmas miracle, tree fall down on own. ugly kid comes browns house , demands tree back, sally refuses. night before christmas eve, sally overcome guilt , decides return tree anyway, ugly kid has since changed mind , agrees keep word, forcing snoopy (who had decorated tree) bring home , decorate on again.

lucy struggles being nice , tries schroeder , linus buy presents, @ 1 point trying justify claiming because bible has word sister in it, means linus must buy christmas present.


merry christmas charlie brown

charlie brown writes christmas card little red-haired girl. linus s dismay, writes calling himself sweet babboo, phrase sally has used refer linus. charlie points out s brown family expression.


charlie brown , sally prepare christmas together. sally thinks has spotted santa claus, turns out snoopy in santa outfit. later haunted visions of sugarplums , relieved when charlie brown tells type of candy.


in end, woodstock rides off bicycle.
