the band members have repeatedly stated enjoy playing live. towards end of 2005, in mail-out subscribers of newsletter, said little disappointed have played 91 shows in year. have received critical acclaim independent music websites, such drowned in sound, live shows.


in 2006, played biggest crowd yet @ year s summer sonic festival in japan, alongside such bands metallica, lostprophets, linkin park, , deftones. 2006 saw first european tour, playing in belgium, netherlands, germany, italy , france. have performed live visuals medlo, long-term collaborators band. made guest appearances on band s 2006 , 2007 uk tours, , produced majority of music videos, including radio protector , drove through ghosts here , don t go down sorrow .


having played first american shows @ sxsw in march 2007, embarked on first american tour supporting fear before march of flames in july , august 2007. following destruction of small ideas tour part 2 , saw them play venues across ireland, uk, , several other european countries.


in may , june 2008, band toured supporting act cure. during same time period band performed headliner in smaller venues.


in 2009, band announced series of live dates in uk preview new material follow-up destruction of small ideas, followed live album, escape new york, released in april 2009.


the band embark on first world tour in march 2010, playing shows in asia (malaysia, singapore, taiwan, japan), america (at sxsw festival in austin, texas), , europe. however, outside of europe shows cancelled except japanese dates due family emergency within band.


in may 2011, band provided live score film silent running part of sensoria music & film festival.


in august 2012, band announced first ever australian show, part of 2012 peat s ridge festival in december. details of full australian tour announced, band visiting sydney, brisbane, melbourne , perth in january 2013.


in october 2013, band announced several new uk dates march 2014. visited exeter, southampton, london, norwich , glasgow. london show @ koko fall of math anniversary show , comprised 2 sets: first being fall of math in entirety. later on, band closed 2014 tour similar fall of math anniversary gig @ manchester cathedral.

deep sea mining relatively new mineral retrieval process takes place on ocean floor. ocean mining sites around large areas of polymetallic nodules or active , extinct hydrothermal vents @ 1,400 – 3,700 meters below ocean s surface. vents create sulfide deposits, contain precious metals such silver, gold, copper, manganese, cobalt, , zinc. deposits mined using either hydraulic pumps or bucket systems take ore surface processed. mining operations, deep sea mining raises questions environmental damages surrounding areas because deep sea mining relatively new field, complete consequences of full-scale mining operations unknown. however, experts removal of parts of sea floor result in disturbances benthic layer, increased toxicity of water column, , sediment plumes tailings. removing parts of sea floor disturbs habitat of benthic organisms, possibly, depending on type of mining , location, causing permanent disturbances. aside direct impact of mining area, leakage, spills, , corrosion alter...
