the winery , vineyards located 10 km away river plate. more 100 hectares of land home vineyards of french origin. uruguayan emblematic tannat grape, heads list of red wine grapes followed cabernet sauvignon, presence in establishment can traced nineteenth century, cabernet franc and, merlot. among white wine gapes grow chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, viognier , our exclusive production of muscat petit grain.


the vineyard surface encompasses 2 wine regions differentiated soil characteristic: cuatro piedras , suárez.

it develops on silt-clay sediments calcium carbonate concretions. surface lightly hilly. soils of black color slit-clay textures, high fertility, moderately drained , rich in calcareous.

it spreads on geology of silt-clay sediments in contact crystalline rocks emerge in places. generates shallow soils light textures in average, times gravel due variable lithologies of pre-devonian rocks such granites, migmatites , metamorphic schist rocks, defined , of low fertility.


the microclimate of both vineyards influenced proximity of sea (a few kilometers) , cool breeze generated promoting development of flavours , aromas of fresh fruit , balanced acidity in white grapes, deep colour , ripe tannins , pleasant in reds. in suarez relative heigh of terrain reinforces effect of wind, rapidly cooling vines, citrus nuances giving white grapes , red fruits in reds. in cuatro piedras appears pear , apple notes on whites, , earthy , mineral in reds.
