one week after concert on march 27, 2004, sánchez embarked on promotional road-tour through father s home state of sinaloa, mexico. en route concert in tuxpan, nayarit, mexico, on highway between rosario , escuinapa, when 1990 lincoln town car, owned father, blew tire. according police, driver lost control , vehicle rolled ditch. performer sustained severe head injuries , died on scene.
