reel or cylinder blades
used in reel or cylinder mowers, cylinder blades composed of 3 7 helical blades welded in horizontally rotating cylindrical reel, creating scissor-like cutting action. unlike other types of mower blades, reel/cylinder blades cannot replaced; therefore, broken blade requires replacement of entire mower. dull or rusty blades, cleaning , sharpening kits available.
deck blades
also known standard or straight mower blade, commonly used blade on rotary mowers.
mulching blades
a mulching blade, known all-purpose blade, features curved surface allows work in 3 ways: lifting, mowing, , mulching. first, blade pulls grass , cuts it. then, clippings sucked inside deck , chopped tinier pieces. finally, blade’s innermost curve produces air pressure blow small clippings out, used feed soil.
lifting blades
