1994–95: formation , sex affairs

brandes knew leigh xanadu days, active 1989-1992, both members , 1 half of group. in 1994, brandes released solo song helpless dancer leigh on guest vocals, before american-born raz-ma-taz joined them create e-rotic. scored charts first 3 chart topping singles max don t have sex ex , peaked #45 in uk singles chart , #4 in dutch single chart, fred come bed , #3 in german single chart, , sex on phone , #2 in austria, followed debut studio album sex affairs. next e-rotic, brandes continued, forming other dance projects, such apanachee in 1995 lydia madajewski on vocals, later become e-rotic s studio lead singer in 2000.

1996–97: power of sex, sexual madness , departure of raz-ma-taz

after fourth single release willy use billy... boy , released in 1995 , peaked #5 in austria, later in june 1996, both members left band, due disagreement between leigh , producer brandes, replaced artists jeane (jeanette macchi-meier) , briefly terence d arby (not confused terence trent d arby), himself again replaced ché jouaner. has been later revealed, brandes rapper on e-rotic releases, except on first album, shared raps raz-ma-taz, such on take love , , leigh still had continue provide vocal work e-rotic s 4 follow studio albums power of sex, sexual madness, abba cover album thank music until 1999 kiss me studio album due contract. also, raps on first single max don t have sex ex not done smith or brandes, instead done marcus thomas (aka deon blue) later join pharao. meanwhile, leigh, alongside raz-ma-taz, formed own band s.e.x. appeal in 1996. promised me lot of things during e-rotic time, never willing keep promises. 1 of these promises produce mixed video, both cartoon , real people. never shown in videos , had problems our concerts, cause no-one knew persons, leigh revealed. on 27 june 1996, group s second studio album power of sex released, preceded latter mentioned lead single willy use billy... boy , followed singles me dr. dick , fritz love tits , gimme sex , becoming moderate chart hits, peaking @ #18, #16 , #3 in austria respectively. in 1996, e-rotic featured in supergroup, called love message , on same titled, masterboy-produced charity single love message . appeared on queen tribute compilation album queen dance traxx, song wants live forever , saw promotional release. tribute album featured queen song champions , recorded artists, participated on queen dance traxx supergroup labeled acts united . in 1997, studio albums sexual madness , abba cover cd thank music released single releases turn me on , peaked @ #7 in finland, thank music , winner takes . album thank music released under artist name jenn , c. in france. ironically music video gimme sex first one, not being comic video, still never aired , banned music channels because of being controversial sexual content, leigh, alongside raz-ma-taz, left band earlier, because wanted shown in music videos.

1998–99: greatest tits, kiss me , departure of leigh

in 1998, e-rotic have released first greatest hits compilation album titled greatest tits - best of e-rotic, along single baby please me , megamix die geilste single der welt (german horniest single in world ) promote album in germany. in 1999, second , final single sexual madness, called don t re through , released , later e-rotic tried enter eurovision song contest 2000 representing germany ended in sixth place in pre-selection single queen of light . time, macchi-meier had perform , sing live, when lip syncing leigh s , later madajewski s singing parts on live shows. song later added on e-rotic s sixth studio album gimme, gimme, gimme , on missing hearts debut studio album mystery (labeled missing heart), in 2000. after that, e-rotic focused more on japanese music market, kept more popular when interest in eurodance music in europe waned @ end of 1990s. in 1999, fifth studio album kiss me released in japan 3 singles oh nick please not quick , kiss me , mambo no. sex , failed chart. latter mentioned single, released on later released german edition of kiss me, retitled mambo no. sex different track list , cover art leaned on success of lou bega s mambo no. 5 @ time. release of kiss me/mambo no. sex marks final leigh on vocals, replaced madajewski later in 2000.

2000–01: gimme, gimme, gimme, sexual healing , sex generation

between 2000 , 2001, 3 studio albums had been released in japan, titled gimme, gimme, gimme, sexual healing , sex generation singles gimme, gimme, gimme , missing , don t make me wet , l.o.v.e. (sex on beach) , billy jive (with willy s wife) , king kong , limited success. 2 compilation albums, titled dancemania presents e-rotic megamix , megamix, , best of e-rotic released in japan respectively. albums sex generation , gimme, gimme, gimme have released in europe, latter mentioned, retitled missing same track list, except replacing song gimme, gimme, gimme title track missing . macchi-meier left e-rotic in 2001, briefly replaced next stage performer yasemin baysal, of group das modul.

2002–03: cocktail e-rotic , total recall

however, baysal , jouaner left e-rotic in 2002, , instead of replacing new stage performer, time real studio singer madajewski, had been providing vocals since leigh s departure in 1999, had been introduced face e-rotic. has been joined stage performer robert spehar. in 2002, released groups ninth studio album cocktail e-rotic, third compilation album titled collection , in 2003, remix album total recall, in japan. remix album has been released in european territories different track list including new mixes. in 2002 promotional single mi amante (spanish lover ) released, labeled e.r. in 2003, new version of first single max don t have sex ex (2003 dance mix) released promote remix album total recall. cocktail e-rotic saw 1 promotional single release heartbreaker , gained radio airplay in japan , ranked #1 on japanese radio chart. after that, e-rotic went on infinite hiatus , both members, madajewski , spehar, left band.

2004–13: hiatus

most former band members retired music scene. brandes continued produce other artists , reused dozen of e-rotic songs japanese girlgroup shanadoo albums welcome tokyo , symbol. shanadoo project discontinued in 2014. leigh continues solo project s.e.x. appeal. in 2006, upcoming studio album, entitled lust 4 life (refers fancy solo song title d.i.s.c.o. (lust life) , recorded in 1999 leigh on guest vocals), rumored , turned out false. in 2008, had been rumored, e-rotic release new track, cover of vanilla ninja s track liar , produced brandes.

2014–present: return of leigh , comeback

in december 2014, original e-rotic lead singer leigh confirmed e-rotic come , return vocalist of group again alongside new rapper, stephen appleton. confirmed e-rotic planned release new best of album re-recorded past hits , brand new e-rotic songs released sometime in 2015. group managed , produced icezone music. official website appeared under maintenance , new official facebook page launched.

on 4 march 2016, e-rotic released new single video starlet , included brand new song called murder me , both of songs e-rotic s next album.
