the danish jazz center s public collection

this part of danish jazz center s collection purchased funds allocated former statens musikråd. collection contains more 50 sheets of music, 49 books, 1516 78-rpm records, 482 lps, 300 cds , number of journals, of not found in other danish library.

the collection consists of more 2600 reel-to-reel tapes, 1000 cassette tapes , 500 digital audio tapes of jazz broadcasts including both music , interviews taped denmark s radio between 1975-1997. these tapes invaluable documentation of went on jazz scene during period. on top of there 700 video tapes taped both danish, swedish , german television between 1980-1997, spanning old short films contemporary concert recordings.

timme rosenkrantz s collection

timme rosenkrantz (1911-1969) author, jazz enthusiast , collector, speaker , radio broadcaster. collection, concentrated on swing music, consists of 1679 78’s, 170 eps, 1055 lps, 411 acetates, 923 reel-to-reel tapes , 103 books. acetates unique privately cut acetate records recordings made rosenkrantz himself in new york during second world war famous musicians or recorded radio. there rarities there many valuable jazz concerts recorded danish, swedish , american radio, haven t otherwise been preserved. there many catalogues, press cuttings , manuscripts radio broadcasts , articles fine collection of more 3000 photos of musicians , orchestras, many of taken rosenkrantz himself.

this collection contains 45 78-rpm records, 211 lps, 12 acetate records, 137 reel-to-reel tapes , 1 book. catalogued in library s catalogue. there sensational recordings found on privately cut acetate records , reel-to-reel tapes, of them webster himself. there large collection memorabilia in form of more 1600 slides, 20 narrow-gauge films, 700 photographs , private papers.

radio jazz s collection

radio jazz copenhagen local radio programme broadcasting several times week. collection consists of 100 reel-to-reel tapes , 600 digital audio tapes containing broadcasts of important documentation value, such interviews , concerts. documents jazz scene in copenhagen since radio jazz started broadcasting in 1987. library hasn t received broadcasts radio jazz since 2006 because hasn t been possible hold of more digital audio tapes. library has complete collection of publication radio jazz, among other things, registers , reviews broadcasts.
