early life , education

jim ankan deka born in guwahati, assam on 1 june 1980, assamese writer-couple prof bhabananda deka , nalini prava deka. third of 3 children.


deka started playing guitar age of three. initial training in borgeet , khol.


early career

jim ankan deka started career in music @ age of 18 first album prahar: tumi kowa kothabor assamese band prahar. performance guitarist, bass guitarist , keyboardist in numerous concerts, events , tv shows, deka made name himself in music industry of assam. in 2001 deka founded studio in guwahati named la-jiazz closed in 2006. deka member of band voodoo child in assam.


music career

since 1998, deka has been composing , arranging music albums, tv series, documentaries, short films , ad jingles. till 2012 has composed music 6 albums in various languages including english, hindi, assamese, mizo , goalporia. @ present member of veenar, jazz fusion band , eastern fare, acoustic rock band in bangalore.
