history
the years

tyson mooloolaba on queensland s sunshine coast. has 3 older sisters. @ 14, became keen on dance music, particularly trance. parents tried unsuccessfully divert enthusiasm musical instrument (drums), traded drum kit first set of turntables. however, sufficiently interested in music theory spend school lunch times writing music. original inspiration song writing came end of high school relationship. after 2 years entered dj competitions using school nickname tydi . became tydi printing error on promotional flyer brisbane dj wars competition won.


after leaving school, began touring in australia. in 2006, entered technics inthemix australian top 50 djs, reaching #12 , after gaining more experience @ music festivals in 2007 reached #4 in top 50 dj charts. in 2008, became australia s youngest n#1 dj , first non-new south wales winner of award.

after becoming australia s #1 dj, tydi released debut album closer reached #2 in australian dance charts. featured 15 predominantly trance tracks, few in other styles ( interlude , let go , how longer ). inthemix put in may 2009 closer absolute belter of debut, , displays musical maturity way beyond tydi s years. website trance.nu went further saying closer …of world class quality likes of of best trance , progressive artist albums out there. few months later mixed disc annual ministry of sound trance nation release , again voted australia s #1 dj in sony in mix top 50 2009.


walk away (featuring audrey gallagher) first tydi original single, followed others included dream , vanilla (featuring tanya zygar), calling (again featuring audrey gallagher) , anthem half light (featuring tanya zygar). in february 2010, tydi won best breakthrough dj award @ international dance music awards. presented award @ ceremony in miami tiësto. unsuccessful nominees year included boys noize, chuckie, joris voorn , super8 & tab.


on 16 april 2011, tydi made first appearance @ annual state of trance (asot) @ sydney s acer arena. appeared during asot 550 in kiev, ukraine in 2012.


shooting stars

august 2011 saw release of tydi s second album, shooting stars. achieved #1 on australian, canadian, uk , finnish itunes dance charts , reached number #4 in usa. album departure trance background 18 tracks illustrating many genres of electronic music. featured collaborations of dance music s best vocalists including tania zygar, brianna holan, audrey gallagher , dj rap.


talking reviews said want of better description, musical journey nothing short of astounding , breath taking.” meanwhile, beat magazine described final track – ariana - “the final track ariana rated best album outro of 2011, sure give listen. half tracks have been released in extended club mixes or remixes, extending longevity.

deep sea mining relatively new mineral retrieval process takes place on ocean floor. ocean mining sites around large areas of polymetallic nodules or active , extinct hydrothermal vents @ 1,400 – 3,700 meters below ocean s surface. vents create sulfide deposits, contain precious metals such silver, gold, copper, manganese, cobalt, , zinc. deposits mined using either hydraulic pumps or bucket systems take ore surface processed. mining operations, deep sea mining raises questions environmental damages surrounding areas because deep sea mining relatively new field, complete consequences of full-scale mining operations unknown. however, experts removal of parts of sea floor result in disturbances benthic layer, increased toxicity of water column, , sediment plumes tailings. removing parts of sea floor disturbs habitat of benthic organisms, possibly, depending on type of mining , location, causing permanent disturbances. aside direct impact of mining area, leakage, spills, , corrosion alter...
