their first season in division 1 saw them finish in 9th place , reach semi-finals of sussex senior cup, next 2 seasons finished runners-up peacehaven & telscombe , won promotion southern league 1996–97 season. however, before accepted southern league, league required club, playing @ firs, changed name reflect club s geographical location. club s 2 main sponsors, stamco , croft glass, fused new name, result st. leonards stamcroft. 1996–97 season saw club finish runners forest green , won sussex senior cup, beating saltdean united 2–1 in final.


however club relegated in season in premier division , struggled both on pitch , financially following seasons. during 2002–03 resigned southern league , returned sussex county league 2003–04, mounting debts had caught them , folded during season.
