followers of tenrikyo believe creation of world occurred @ point called jiba, in tenri city, nara prefecture, japan. pillar called kanrodai erected on exact point of jiba, , set of worship halls have been constructed around it. sacred dance performed around kanrodai during monthly worship services, , daily prayers of tenrikyo practitioners performed while facing direction of jiba. considered humans created @ jiba, greeting welcome home (okaeri nasai in japanese) commonly used believers greet visitors.
