season 3 (2011)

the third season began airing on july 31, 2011, on g4 , concluded finale airing on august 22, 2011, two-hour primetime special on nbc. tryouts took place in may 2011 @ venice beach, california. after tryouts, top 15 competitors competed in ninja warrior boot camp top 10 moving on japan finals of competition part of sasuke 27 , chance @ becoming first american conquer course , win $500,000 endorsement deal k-swiss. no competitors made beyond stage 3.

season 4 (2012)

season 7 (2015)

the seventh season of american ninja warrior premiered on nbc on may 25, 2015. season s grand prize increased $500,000 $1,000,000. qualifying , finals courses held in venice beach, kansas city, houston, orlando, pittsburgh, special military-only course in san pedro. stage 1 had total of 38 finishers including brent steffensen , dustin mckinney. in stage 2, 30 of 38 competitors failed. 8 remaining in stage 3 including drew dreschel, abel gonzalez, isaac caldiero, ian dory, jeremiah morgan, kevin bull, joe moravsky , geoff britten. 2 competitors finished course: isaac caldiero , geoff britten. first time american had finished stage 3. season concluded victory: geoff britten first complete stage 4 second remaining; however, isaac caldiero achieved stage 4 rope climb in faster time , awarded grand prize of $1,000,000 , title of american ninja warrior . geoff britten first ninja complete 6 courses in single season.

season 8 (2016)

season 8 of american ninja warrior began on june 1, 2016, on nbc, encore episodes airing following day on esquire network. regional competitions held in los angeles, atlanta, indianapolis, oklahoma city, , philadelphia, 28 new obstacles. on 40 percent more women registered season 8 compared previous season. additionally, prize money possible stage 4 winners split equally among competitors complete rope climb in under 30 seconds.
