international career

laban being born in france , of ethnic french heritage made him eligible represent france after 7 years playing football in cyprus applied , gained cypriot citizenship made him eligible represent cyprus @ international level. when opportunity came up, decided represent adopted nation , made debut cyprus on 15 august 2012, in 0-1 loss against bulgaria in friendly match. scored first ever international goal cypriots in 3-1 away defeat albania in opening game of 2014 fifa world cup qualification group game on 7 september 2012. second ever cypriot goal came in 2-1 away defeat wales in uefa euro 2016 qualification group game on 13 october 2014. aware of need convince rest of country belonged in national side, laban admitted feeling great deal of pressure.
