the sagtikos state parkway begins @ interchange southern , heckscher state parkways in hamlet of west islip, north of robert moses causeway s junction southern state parkway. heading southbound, junction signed exit s4. parkway proceeds northward through town of islip four-lane divided highway, passing through residential parts of adjacent hamlet of brentwood reach exit s3, partial cloverleaf interchange pine aire drive. north of junction, highway passes on main line of long island rail road. continuing northward through islip, sagtikos parkway leaves brentwood ahead of exit s2, connection county route 13 (cr 13, named crooked hill road). southbound exit serves cr 13 way of access roads through pilgrim psychiatric center while northbound direction uses part of g road reach cr 13 , suffolk county community college s grant campus.
