hatchet ii announced in november 2008 when anchor bay entertainment released teaser poster film. adam green stated writing , directing, depending on how long other projects working on took. stated if projects took long, pass writing , directing duties on else. on november 24, 2009, officially announced adam green return write , direct. final draft of script completed on december 7, 2009. in order keep details under wraps, crew did not receive copies of script , majority of cast received select pages. fake scripts, fake endings, , fake story lines circulated around industry , no visitors or guests allowed near set. cast gathered first table reading on december 15, 2009.


casting

on november 24, 2009, along announcement adam green return write , direct, announced kane hodder reprise role of victor crowley. on november 25, announced tony todd returning. on december 3, 2009 scream queen danielle harris announced on official twitter account taking on role of marybeth, played tamara feldman. on december 8, 2009 aj bowen , director tom holland joined cast. rest of cast announced on december 28, 2009, r.a. mihailoff, kathryn fiore, parry shen, rileah vanderbilt, ed ackerman, rick mccallum, colton dunn , david foy.


filming

to accommodate promotional duties film frozen shooting had split 2 parts. first portion began shooting on january 7, 2010 , ended on january 23. second portion began january 15, 2010 , shooting hatchet ii wrapped on february 24.
