this pbs game show designed children ages 8–12. world game show staged in off-skew detective office, part of acme agency lynne thigpen portraying chief , greg lee portraying himself special agent in charge of training new recruits. greg helped in training various live-action , animated characters. among show s popular members of cappella house band , comedy troupe, rockapella, sang show s main theme song.


the game played in 3 rounds: first round q&a, 2 gumshoes highest scores proceeded second round. in second round, 2 remaining gumshoes had find loot, warrant, , cartoon crook in correct order. winning gumshoe captured day s crook , later advanced third , final round capture carmen. greg shouted names or places in region of world, gumshoe had place marker on corresponding place on giant map of area within 45-second time limit. successful gumshoe placed correct locations , captured carmen win trip anywhere in contiguous united states , later in north america.
