on june 7, 2010 viewer s choice edition of raw, during main event saw cena face punk, group debuted sporting matching armbands letter n. barrett, entered ramp, led group, entered through crowd , jumped barricades, in attack on cena, punk, luke gallows, hall of famer jerry lawler, nxt host matt striker (who had joined lawler , michael cole @ ringside commentate main event), justin roberts (who raw ring announcer @ time), wwe timekeeper mark yeaton , other wwe personnel around ring.


during attack, ended cena being taken out on stretcher, daniel bryan strangled roberts necktie and, in sign of disrespect, spit in cena s face. led bryan being released contract on june 11, 2010 wwe reportedly felt acts violent company s tv-pg programming. absence explained barrett bryan had felt remorse actions and, result, kicked out of group. nxt rookies explained actions retribution poor treatment received wwe management during time on nxt, saying attack threaten wwe giving remaining members guaranteed wwe contracts. raw general manager bret hart, not rejected demand , fired barrett, revoked wwe contract , championship opportunity earned winning nxt. later night, during main event saw cena , orton take on sheamus , edge in fatal 4-way preview, nxt rookies attacked hart backstage while rest of raw roster stood guard @ top of entrance ramp. on june 20, 2010 @ fatal 4-way pay-per-view, nxt rookies interfered in main event cena s wwe championship, attacking wrestlers involved. sheamus used interference win title cena second time.
