the western side of mount coot-tha forest or gap creek reserve known locals haven brisbane mountain bike riders. establishment of world class mountain bike trail network brisbane city council has created diverse range of recreational experiences off-road cyclists.


the mountain bike trails @ mount coot-tha have been assigned grading under international mountain bicycling association, trail difficulty rating system. multi-use trails in mount coot-tha provide least degree of technical challenge mountain bike riders, many of them steep , loose. riders advised pay special attention when riding on erosion control banks (water bars) have been downfall of many novice rider. trail ratings provide guide relative difficulty of each trail.


the multi-use tracks used horses, pedestrians , mountain bikers. each year orienteering events held in area.
