many members of local community opposed , campaigned against these plans. comedian , presenter griff rhys jones, actor paul mcgann , writer alain de botton among famous names have backed local residents in asking local authority stop plans convert building church.

uckg failed gain planning permission convert building waltham forest council , later secretary of state communities , local government, eric pickles.
